“I’ve always been in design. I'm fascinated by the power of colour and creating a cohesive tone throughout a space. Taking something from its existing form and turning it into something new is our purpose.
A key moment that really brought out my gift for design was being introduced to the art community when I lived in Sydney. At the time I was specialising in construction design, and my flatmate was renowned artist, John McConnochie.
Spending time with him taught me how to ‘see’, and I began creating design work for the art world. My whole perspective on colour and creativity shifted during that time, and essentially founded what I have gone on to do at hasl haus.
