Hasl Haus began as Chris Hassell’s quiet rebellion against ordinary renovations. After more than fifty years inside the industry — first as an apprentice on Sydney sites, later running his own cabinetry workshops — he saw the same story repeat itself: brilliant homes diluted by a dozen sub-trades all pulling their own way.
So he built a different kind of company. One studio, one team, every craft kept in-house. Today his son Elliot leads the day-to-day from the Labrador design studio, with the same designers, cabinet-makers and project managers his father trained.
It’s the rarest thing in our trade: a family business that still answers its own phone, still walks every site, and still treats every project as if it were our own.
